Loiseau Industries: industrial sealing solutions

To ensure the tightness of technical installations, we use various types of materials. The first one is rubber. It can be natural rubber (label NR), obtained through the processing of latex secreted by certain plants such as the hevea (i.e. rubber tree). We however mainly use a synthetic material derived from fossil hydrocarbons. Rubber belongs to the family of elastomers.

Synthetic rubbers (or artificial rubbers) are a type of elastomers invariably referred to as polymers, as they consist of a macromolecule formed by monomer units linked together. An elastomer has better elastic deformation under stress than most materials and returns to its initial shape without any permanent deformation. Its primary use is in tire manufacturing, but its application has long been common in various industrial fields.

Sealing can also be ensured by using gaskets made with many other materials: cardboard, Teflon, graphite, metal, etc. Loiseau Industries’ main area of expertise is to provide precise advice to its clients regarding the type of material to adopt based on the intended use.

And when sealing requires the creation of special, sometimes non-standard, gaskets, Loiseau Industries is able to machine and offer custom-made gaskets in suitable materials.

Different types of use :

  • static
  • dynamic (translation, rotation)
  • pressure-resistant
  • temperature-resistant
  • speed-resistant
  • resistant to the environment (corrosive or explosive atmosphere).
